Hard to believe that just a short week ago I was recovering from the most exhausting week of my life. Whether you knew it or not, I was involved pretty substantially with the behind the scenes aspects of the Lobster and Lefse Festival in Fargo. It was a total blast, but more work than I ever could have imagined.

The festival paired two rather unlikely foods: lobster and lefse. The only thing these two foods had in common was butter. But, that didn't stop us.

I got to thinking that maybe it was time I put together a map of all the places I've visited. Being the technology-hound I am (and being lazy), I wanted to find some sort of generator that could make the map for me.

I stumbled across one site called "Create Your Visited States Map." It's pretty straight-forward and does exactly what it says.

Here's my map:

Chicago was definitely an interesting place to spend spring break. Here are some quick statistics from our travels:

  • Distance traveled: 1353 miles
  • Gas guzzled: 61.5 gallons
  • States visited: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois
  • Rest Areas Slept At: 1 (never again)
  • Near fatal trips due to Google Directions: More than a dozen
  • Tolls Paid: A lot. And we paid them in nickels. Deal with it, Illinois.
  • Times I Dropped my Phone:
  • Photos Taken: 500+
